Sylia wakes in a horseless carriage trundling down an endless winter landscape. Across from her is Engad, her childhood friend who left without a farewell or explanation years ago. Even now, he remains cryptic about what happened or why they are in this strange place.

By navigating the winter landscape and uncovering pieces of the past, players will learn the truth of Sylia’s past and what separated her and Engad. Yet the estranged friends are not the only ones haunting the eternal winter. Two other players stride through the light and lurk in the shadows: King Tarfel, who is protective of Sylia and suspicious of Engad; and a hooded figure known only as the Witch, who salivates at the prospect of Sylia’s downfall.

Midwinter Stars—an English-language visual novel inspired by anime, otome games, and classic fantasy novels—is currently in production at Myriad Flames.
